While we wish it was not even a factor in our program, the fact remains that we live in a world full of undesirable people. Our Martial Arts will teach your child how to protect themselves from danger. This invaluable skill may even save their lives one day.

Hi Master Fari,

I would like to thank you for doing me that reference in such short notice, as you know it contributed to my whole portfolio which went towards being a recipient of the NSW Education Minister’s Award for Excellence in Student Achievement 2005. I haven’t had a chance to tell you how everything went. I was thrilled to achieve this award which was for outstanding achievement in secondary education, leadership and community endeavours over Years 11 and 12. I was presented with the award by the NSW Education Minister the Hon. Carmel Tebutt recently at Governor Macquarie Tower.

It is a really highly sought after and valued award as I was only 1 of a select few (38) out of 750,000 students in all of NSW to be given the award. It was a really big prestigious event and high achieving students were flown in for the ceremony from all around NSW. All the recipients were well rounded high achievers and I was not surprised to hear that many had done some form of martial arts.

I will personally have a profile of all of my achievements in the Dept. of Education and Training Annual report as a success story – how cool. My school was also very honoured as I am only the 8th student in my schools history to receive this prestigious award. I know you counsel students considering quitting KMA Hapkido to only focus on academic pursuits but I am sure you’ll agree that forgoing your health, relationships, mind, spiritual growth, civic responsibility and body to pursue only academia is no success at all.

I cannot stress highly enough how universities and employers value this type of award because it demonstrates a versatile and well rounded person, which is the embodiment of the KMA Hapkido philosophy.I really do appreciate how you continue to invest in and inspire your students not to just do the norm in life and motivate us to live with passion and conviction as this is truly when we achieve success - by living authentically.

Thank you for all your support over the years, my successes have only been possible through the discipline and hardworking mindset I have learnt through Hapkido. You really have been instrumental in changing hearts, changing minds, changing lives and in shaping conscious living cohesive members of a harmonious society.
